H.E. MR. Jamal Sarayrah, Chairman    

Mr. Jamal Al Sarayrah has served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Jordan Bromine Company, Chairman of the Arab Potash Company (APC) and Arab Fertilizers and Chemicals Industries Ltd – KEMAPCO since June 2012, with a brief interruption from February to July 2018 when he was Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Prime Ministerial Affairs.

Jamal Al Sarayrah is also a member of the Board of Directors of the International Fertilizer Association (IFA) and former Chairman of Arab Fertilizers Association (AFA) from 31/10/2013 – 31/12/2014.


During his 30 years of service in politics and business, he chaired a number of companies in the public and private sectors in post and communications, transportation, regulation, and oil and gas. His ministerial and parliamentary positions included Minister of Post and Communication and Minister of Transportation, First Deputy Speaker and member of the Chamber of Deputies of Jordan, member of the Royal Commission for the National Charter of Jordan. His private sector positions included  Chairman of Jordan Telecom, Senior Advisor for business strategy development in telecommunication, oil, and gas (Reliance Globalcom, Dubai), and GM of ARAMCO office (Jordan, Lebanon, Syria and Turkey).  


Mr. Al Sarayrah holds a post-graduate diploma in international law and international relations from the Aberystwyth University in Wales and a BA in English Literature from the University of Kuwait.

Mr. Luther C. Kissam

Luther C. “Luke” Kissam, IV is president & chief executive officer of Albemarle Corporation, a leading global developer, manufacturer and marketer of highly engineered specialty chemicals for a wide range of industries. Mr. Kissam was elected chief executive officer, effective September 2011. He was elected to the company’s board of directors, effective November 2011, and he was named president in May 2013. Prior to this role, he served as president, where he managed all aspects of the company’s global business and operational activities.

He is currently Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Jordan Bromine Company, a role he assumed in 2005.



Mr. Raphael Crawford               

Raphael Crawford is President of Albemarle’s Bromine Specialties global business unit and Managing Director of Rockwood Lithium GmbH. 

 Raphael joined Albemarle in 2012 as Vice President for the company’s Performance Catalyst Solutions division, with overall responsibility for the direction and results of the business. In 2015 he was appointed Vice President of Albemarle’s Synthesis and Polymer Solutions division, a role he held until taking the helm of Bromine Specialties later that year.

 Prior to joining Albemarle, Raphael was the Director of Global Marketing and Business Development for Dow Coating Materials, a global business unit of The Dow Chemical Company. In this role, he was responsible for the division’s global business strategy and new business development initiatives. He previously served as the Global Commercial Director and Global Product Marketing Director for Dow Water and Process Solutions, positions he assumed in April 2009 following the acquisition of Rohm and Haas Company. Raphael joined Rohm and Haas in 2003 and held various strategic marketing and commercial roles.

  Before joining Rohm and Haas, Raphael worked at Campbell Soup Company as a Marketing Manager. He began his career at SNET Telecommunications where he served in several capacities including new ventures, finance and marketing.           

  Raphael holds a M.Sc. degree in Finance from the University of New Haven and a degree in Economics from Wesleyan University.  He maintains professional certifications in Management Accounting and Financial Management by the Institute of Management Accountants.

  Raphael joined Jordan Bromine Company as member of its Board on November 8th 2015.


Eric Norris           

Norris currently serves as Albemarle’s Chief Strategy Officer. In this role, he manages the company’s strategic planning, M&A and corporate business development programs as well as its investor relations efforts. Norris joined the company in January 2018.

Norris previously worked as an officer at FMC Corporation where he served as President, Health and Nutrition, dating back to October 2014. Following FMC’s announcement to acquire DuPont Agricultural Chemical assets, he led the divestiture of FMC Health and Nutrition to DuPont. 

Previously, Norris had been Vice President and Global Business Director for FMC Health and Nutrition and Vice President and Global Business Director for FMC Lithium. After joining FMC in 2001, he served leadership roles in Investor Relations, Corporate Development and Director of FMC Healthcare Ventures. Prior to joining FMC, Norris founded and led an internet-based firm offering formulation and design tools to the chemical industry.

  His career began 25 years ago with the Rohm and Haas Company where he had increasing leadership roles in sales, marketing, strategic planning and investor relations. Norris earned bachelor’s degrees in Chemistry and German from Colgate University and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.           

  Norris joined Jordan Bromine Company as member of its Board on April 4th 2018.      


Mr. Mohammed Al Razem 

Mr. Razem is a Member of the Board of Directors of Jordan Bromine Company since Jan 2013, he currently holds the position of VP – Finance and Support Services for Arab Potash Company.  

Mr. Razem possess over 15 years of experience in many fields: Real Estate, Telecommunication, Financial Services and Investments where he served in many local companies among which Zain Jordan, Ernst & Young Middle East and Saraya Holdings Group.Mr. Razem is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the United States of America and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). Mohammed holds a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from the University of Jordan.Date of Birth: December 22, 1979  

Dr. Maen Fahad Abdul-Karim Nsour 

Dr. Nsour is Senior Advisor for Business Development and Strategies at the Arab Potash Company.

Dr. Nsour was an economic adviser to the Minister of Economy and Planning in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia where he worked on several socio-economic projects in various macro-economic fields trade policy, investment promotion strategies, social protection, and risk analysis and mitigation in Saudi Arabia.

Dr. Nsour was General-Director and Deputy Chairman of the Jordanian Social Security Corporation. He was also Acting President of the Social Security Investment Fund – a 10 billion dollar public investment fund. Before that Dr. Nsour was Chief-of-Staff and Special Advisor to the Prime Minister of Jordan. He was also a member of the ministerial Economic and Financial Committee.

  Dr. Nsour was Chief Executive Officer of the Jordan Investment Board.

   Dr. Nsour was Senior Regional Programs Adviser at the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in New York. While at that position he was also the coordinator of the third Arab Human Development Report (AHDR) which was published under the title: "Toward Knowledge Economies in the Arab World.

   Dr. Nsour was also Director of Policy Planning and Economic Studies at the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation in Jordan.

  Dr. Nsour was a researcher at the United States Institute of Peace (USIP), a Washington, D.C.-based think tank that was established by the American Congress. Dr. Nsour taught international trade, political economy and public policy courses at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virgini

  Dr. Nsour sits on the boards of directors of several companies, among which are the Jordan Bromine Company, the Fertilizers and Chemical Industries Company (KEMAPCO), the Jordan Industrial Ports Company, Numeira Mixed Salts and Mud Company, the National Company for Tourism Investments (owned by the Social Security Investment Fund), and Jordan Kingdom Holding Company (owned by Jordan Armed Forces). He also recently sat on the boards of directors of the Arab Potash Company, and Sweimeh for Tourism Projects Company.            

  Dr. Nsour teaches/taught "Corporate Governance," "International Business and Globalization," and "Managerial economics" at the Graduate School of Business at the German Jordan University, and "International Business" at the University of Jordan.

  Dr. Nsour has a Ph.D. in political economy from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. He attended George Mason University as a Thomas Jefferson Fellow – a full scholarship awarded through the US Department of State. In 2010 George Mason University granted him the Alumni of the Year Award.

  Dr. Nsour joined JBC as member of the boards of directors in April 21st, 2016.




Mr. Ahmad Khalifeh – General Manager

Ahmad Khalifeh is the General Manager of Jordan Bromine Company (JBC), a joint venture between Arab Potash Company and Albemarle Corporation, a position he assumed in 2003. Prior to this, Mr. Khalifeh served as JBC’s Chief Financial Officer and Deputy General Manager upon joining the Company in 1999. In addition to his work at JBC, Mr. Khalifeh served as  Regional VP for Middle East & India heading Albemarle Middle East & India (FZE), an affiliate of Albemarle Corporation , a position he held since July 2007 through July 2014.

Mr. Khalifeh received his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Nottingham University ,UK in 1979. He received his Master of Science degree in Construction Management from Birmingham University, UK in 1987.           

He has participated in several executive programs at Harvard, Wharton, and other   international and regional leadership education institutions . Mr. Khalifeh is a board member at Saudi Speciality Chemicals Company, Albemalre Saudi Trading Company, Vice Chairman of AmCham Jordan,  and a member of EDAMA.



Mr. Karl Meyer - Executive Operations and Production Manager            

Karl Meyer assumed the role of Executive Operation and Production Manager for JBC, effective July 1, 2014.

He began his career with Albemarle as a Process Engineer at the Pasadena plant in 1985. During his career, he has held positions of increasing responsibility within manufacturing and business development in Pasadena, Orangeburg and Baton Rouge.

He recently served as director of manufacturing in Asia Pacific and currently serves as plant manager at PDC


Mr. Samer Sader - Chief Financial Officer

Samer Sader has served as Chief Financial Officer at Jordan Bromine Company (JBC) since 2007, previously holding the position of Finance Manager when he first joined in the Company in 2003. Prior to joining JBC, Mr. Sader was the Accounting Manager of Jordan Mobile Telephone Services (Zain).

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Business Administration from the University of Jordan, which he earned in 1993, and he also holds a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certificate.


Mr. Khalid Abu Zaid  -Plant Manager

Prior to Joining Jordan Bromine Company, Abu-Zaid worked at  Jordan Petroleum Refinery maintenance department for seven years, in 2002 he joined Jordan Bromine Company  and held different positions,  Br ISO tank Maintenance Supervisor, Plant Inspector, Maintenance Superintendent, and became JBC Maintenance Manager in 2008, Abu-Zaid became JBC Capital Projects Manager Managing Engineering and Construction for JBC Annual Capital projects and Executed 2010 expansion project and 2012 JBC double expansion Project (PETRA) as its Resident Manager. In December 2015, Abu-Zaid assumed the position of Plant Manager

Abu-Zaid holds a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Jordan University of Science and Technology in 1995 and Master in Business Administration MBA from New York Institute of Technology in 2008.


Mr. Abdullah Masarweh - HR Manager

Abdullah Masarweh is the Human Resources Manager at Jordan Bromine Company (JBC), a position he has held since 2008. Prior to joining JBC in June 1999 as an Administrator, Mr. Masarweh was employed at the Jordan Dead Sea Industrial Company (JODICO), where he held various administrative positions over a span of two years.

He holds a B.Sc. degree in Economics from Mutah University, which he earned in 1998.
