H.E. Mr. Jamal Sarayrah, Chairman

Chairman of the Board of Directors of Jordan Bromine Company, Arab Potash Company (APC), JORMAG, KEMAPCO and Al Numeira for Mixed Salts & Mud since June 2012, has 30 years of experience in politics and business strategy development.  He chaired a number of companies in the public and private sectors in post and communications, transportation, regulation, and oil and gas.
Mr. Al Sarayrah held a number of ministerial and parliamentary positions that included Minister of Post and Communication, Minister of Transportation, First Deputy Speaker and member of the Chamber of Deputies of Jordan, Chairman of the Board of the Arab Fertilizer Association (AFA) for the 2014 session, member of the Royal Commission for the National Charter of Jordan, Chairman of Jordan Telecom, Senior Advisor for business strategy development in telecommunication, and oil and gas (Reliance Globalcom, Dubai), and Director of ARAMCO (Jordan, Lebanon, Syria and Turkey).  
He holds a diploma in international law and international relations from Aberystwyth University in Wales and a BA in English Literature from the University of Kuwait.

Mr. Luther C. Kissam

Luther C. “Luke” Kissam, IV is president & chief executive officer of Albemarle Corporation, a leading global developer, manufacturer and marketer of highly engineered specialty chemicals for a wide range of industries. Mr. Kissam was elected chief executive officer, effective September 2011. He was elected to the company’s board of directors, effective November 2011, and he was named president in May 2013. Prior to this role, he served as president, where he managed all aspects of the company’s global business and operational activities.

He is currently Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Jordan Bromine Company, a role he assumed in 2005.



Mr. Raphael Crawford

Raphael Crawford is President of Albemarle’s Bromine Specialties global business unit and Managing Director of Rockwood Lithium GmbH. 

 Raphael joined Albemarle in 2012 as Vice President for the company’s Performance Catalyst Solutions division, with overall responsibility for the direction and results of the business. In 2015 he was appointed Vice President of Albemarle’s Synthesis and Polymer Solutions division, a role he held until taking the helm of Bromine Specialties later that year.  

 Prior to joining Albemarle, Raphael was the Director of Global Marketing and Business Development for Dow Coating Materials, a global business unit of The Dow Chemical Company. In this role, he was responsible for the division’s global business strategy and new business development initiatives. He previously served as the Global Commercial Director and Global Product Marketing Director for Dow Water and Process Solutions, positions he assumed in April 2009 following the acquisition of Rohm and Haas Company. Raphael joined Rohm and Haas in 2003 and held various strategic marketing and commercial roles.

 Before joining Rohm and Haas, Raphael worked at Campbell Soup Company as a Marketing Manager. He began his career at SNET Telecommunications where he served in several capacities including new ventures, finance and marketing.

 Raphael holds a M.Sc. degree in Finance from the University of New Haven and a degree in Economics from Wesleyan University.  He maintains professional certifications in Management Accounting and Financial Management by the Institute of Management Accountants.

 Raphael joined Jordan Bromine Company as member of its Board on November 8th 2015.


Dr. Ronald C. Zumstein 

Mr. Zumstein serves as Albemarle's Vice President of Operational Excellence and Health, Safety & Environment and leader of the company's Manufacturing Council. In this role, Dr. Zumstein manages all aspects of the company’s global manufacturing operations and health, safety & environmental programs across all Albemarle and Albemarle-affiliated facilities.

With over 20 years of experience with Albemarle, Dr. Zumstein has successfully held a wide variety of positions with increasing responsibility, including roles in research and development, process and product development, and plant management at several of the company’s plant sites. Dr. Zumstein has served as Albemarle’s Vice President of Health, Safety and Environment and prior to assuming this role, he was named Vice President of Manufacturing for the company’s Polymer Additives division. Most recently, Dr. Zumstein served as Vice President of Manufacturing Operations.

A native of Knoxville, Tennessee, Dr. Zumstein received a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Tennessee and his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from North Carolina State University.

He has served as a member of the board of Directors of Jordan Bromine Company since March 2013.

Mr. Mohammad Al Razem 

Mr. Razem is a Member of the Board of Directors of Jordan Bromine Company since Jan 2013, he currently holds the position of Finance Director for Arab Potash Company and looks over compliance, financial reporting and most of APC financial and business affairs.
Mr. Razem possess over 15 years of experience in many fields: Real Estate, Telecommunication, Financial Services and Investments where he served in many local companies among which Zain Jordan, Ernst & Young Middle East and Saraya Holdings Group.
Mr. Razem is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the United States of America and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). Mohammed holds a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from the University of Jordan.

Dr. Maen Fahad Abdul-Karim Nsour 

Representative of: Jordan Social Security Corporation.

Position: Board Member – Arab Potash Company (APC), Jordan Bromine Company (JBC), Arab Fertilizers and Chemicals Industries (KEMAPCO), Jordan Industrial Ports Company (JIPC).

Dr. Nsour is an APC Board Member since 15/8/2013. Dr. Nsour received a Ph.D. in Political Economy from George Mason University in Virginia, USA in 1998. He is currently the President for Advisory for Policies and Strategies Company. Dr. Nsour is also Chairman of the Executive Board of Directors of the Global Company for Investment and Medical Services, Chairman of the Executive Board of Directors of Sweimeh Development for Investment Company, and member of the Board of Directors for the Kingdom Investment Group. He worked previously as Director-General of the Social Security Corporation, Acting Director of the Social Security Investment Fund, member of the Ministerial Economic Development Committee, member of the Economic and Social Council, Special Advisor and Chief-of-Staff to the Prime Minister of Jordan, Chief Executive Officer of the Jordan Investment Board. Dr. Nsour was Senior Regional Programs Advisor at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in New York. Before joining UNDP, he was Director of Studies and Policies, and Director of the Economic Aid Coordinating Unit at the Jordanian Ministry of Planning. Dr. Nsour taught political economy, international trade and investment, and public policy at George Mason University and international economics and public policy at the University of Jordan. He now teaches international business and globalization and managerial economics at the MBA program in business administration at the German Jordanian University.

Mr. Ahmad Khalifeh – General Manager

Ahmad Khalifeh is the General Manager of Jordan Bromine Company (JBC), a position he assumed in 2003. Prior to this, Mr. Khalifeh served as JBC’s Chief Financial Officer and as Deputy General Manager upon joining the Company in 1999. In addition to his work at JBC, Mr. Khalifeh is Regional VP for Middle East & India Operations at Albemarle, a position he has held since April 2007.

Mr. Khalifeh received his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Nottingham University ,UK in 1979. He received his Master of Science degree in Construction Management from Birmingham University, UK in 1987.

He has participated in several executive programs at Harvard, Wharton, and other leadership/operations training at international and regional institutions. Mr. Khalifeh is aboard member at Saudi Speciality Chemicals Company, Albemalre Saudi Trading Company, AmCham Jordan and a member of AmCham Abu Dhabi.



Mr. Karl Meyer - Executive Operations and Production Manager            

Karl Meyer assumed the role of Executive Operation and Production Manager for JBC, effective July 1, 2014.

He began his career with Albemarle as a Process Engineer at the Pasadena plant in 1985. During his career, he has held positions of increasing responsibility within manufacturing and business development in Pasadena, Orangeburg and Baton Rouge.

He recently served as director of manufacturing in Asia Pacific and currently serves as plant manager at PDC


Mr. Samer Sader - Chief Financial Officer

Samer Sader has served as Chief Financial Officer at Jordan Bromine Company (JBC) since 2007, previously holding the position of Finance Manager when he first joined in the Company in 2003. Prior to joining JBC, Mr. Sader was the Accounting Manager of Jordan Mobile Telephone Services (Zain).

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Business Administration from the University of Jordan, which he earned in 1993, and he also holds a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certificate.


Mr. Khalid Abu Zaid  -Plant Manager

Prior to Joining Jordan Bromine Company, Abu-Zaid worked at  Jordan Petroleum Refinery maintenance department for seven years, in 2002 he joined Jordan Bromine Company  and held different positions,  Br ISO tank Maintenance Supervisor, Plant Inspector, Maintenance Superintendent, and became JBC Maintenance Manager in 2008, Abu-Zaid became JBC Capital Projects Manager Managing Engineering and Construction for JBC Annual Capital projects and Executed 2010 expansion project and 2012 JBC double expansion Project (PETRA) as its Resident Manager. In December 2015, Abu-Zaid assumed the position of Plant Manager

Abu-Zaid holds a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Jordan University of Science and Technology in 1995 and Master in Business Administration MBA from New York Institute of Technology in 2008.


Mr. Thabet Khasawneh - Logistic Manager

Thabet Khasawneh is the Supply Chain Manager at Jordan Bromine Company since April 2012, before that he was the Marketing and Logistics Manager at Jordan Bromine Company (JBC), a position he has held since 1999. Prior to Joining JBC, Mr. Khasawneh worked on feasibility studies for JBC during his tenure at Jordan Dead Sea Industries (JODICO), where he served as an economist.

In his capacity at JBC, he has played a key role in assuring that all JBC products are delivered safely, in a timely manner and at a reasonable cost. He has contributed to the success JBC has achieved by setting standards in the local DG Transport Market as the first IMDG, ADR, and IATA certified company in Jordan.


Mr. Abdullah Masarweh - HR Manager

Abdullah Masarweh is the Human Resources Manager at Jordan Bromine Company (JBC), a position he has held since 2008. Prior to joining JBC in June 1999 as an Administrator, Mr. Masarweh was employed at the Jordan Dead Sea Industrial Company (JODICO), where he held various administrative positions over a span of two years.

He holds a B.Sc. degree in Economics from Mutah University, which he earned in 1998.
